Are you new to Canada? Would you like to improve your ability to read, write, listen and speak in English? The LINC program will help you learn more about using English for life and work in Canada.

What does the program offer?

  • Instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Information about Canadian culture and communicating at home and at work.
  • Computer assisted ESL instruction.
  • Special speakers and community field trips add variety to classes.

How will you benefit?

  • Learn how to effectively communicate in English.
  • Communicate better at work.
  • Learn at your own skill level and pace.
  • Measure your progress using the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs).
  • Limited childcare is available for children ages 2-5 for students in the morning and afternoon classes.

Do you qualify?

  • 18 years or older.
  • An immigrant or refugee who is not a Canadian citizen.
  • ILVARC referral to the best LINC class for you.

Program Details

  • Classes are offered in 4 sessions throughout the year. Fall, winter and spring sessions run for 11 or 12 weeks. The summer session is 8 weeks long.
