AFGHAN AND VULNERABLE WOMEN’S
RESILIENCY PROJECT

This 3-month employment program is designed to assist vulnerable women in learning English, gaining Canadian work experience, reducing isolation, and overcoming barriers to becoming active and contributing members of the local economy.

The program offers:

  • English language classes, employability skills with workshops on resume writing, cover letter writing, and interview skills.  

  • One-on-one employment counselling sessions.

  • Introduction to various employment and community resources to help you find a job. 

  • Practical experience to help you become career or job-ready with a two-week training program in the workplace that provides Canadian work experience.

Eligibility:

  • 18 years old and above.

  • Canada citizen, permanent resident (PR), or valid work permit.

  • CLB 2 and above.

  • Able and willing to work and attend 2 weeks of mandatory work experience training.
