COMMUNITY-BASED LINC FOR SENIORS PROGRAM

Our Community-Based LINC for Seniors Program is designed for immigrants and refugees aged 55 years and over who wish to learn English in their communities.

To meet the unique needs of senior learners, this program focuses on specific learning approaches and instructions based on Canadian Language Benchmarks. Moreover, first language assistance facilitates senior learners' language development effectively. Through language learning and other social events in the community, the program provides seniors with opportunities to meet each other, reduce feelings of isolation and develop feelings of well-being.

Currently, we are offering this program to three language groups: Chinese, Punjabi/Hindi/Urdu and Dari/Pashto/Farsi.
