EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR UKRAINIAN NEWCOMERS (ESUN)

The Program provides employment services to Ukrainian Evacuees (Ukrainian Newcomers) impacted by the ongoing war in Ukraine. This project aims to focus on building the participants’ employability skills and transition them to become ready, willing, and able to enter the workforce.  

 

How will you benefit?

  • One-on-one career and employment advising in Ukrainian/Russian languages.

  • Canadian job search workshops and information sessions. Workshop topics include career planning, resume writing, interview preparation, accessing employers, etc.

  • Employer connection/job placement support.

 

Outreach services are available:

Saturdays: 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. 

St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor

404 Meredith Rd NE #1, Calgary, AB T2E

 

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Best Western Premier Plaza Hotel  

1316 33 Street NE Calgary, AB, T2A 6B6 (specifically for those who are temporarily housed in the hotel)

 

Who can benefit?

  • Ukrainians arriving in Canada through the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) pathway.

  • A Ukrainian National with Temporary Residence status as defined by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada

  • Residing in Alberta and at least 18 years of age

  • Looking for work
