TD FINANCIAL LITERACY BOOTCAMP

Join your local TD branch representatives for a series of workshop sessions to enhance your financial literacy and help you on your way to career success! You can come to each session, or only to the sessions you would find most helpful, as TD's representatives will guide you through common challenges for newcomers in the banking space, from opening your first bank account, budgeting and managing your money, to building wealth and buying your first home, as well as how to secure and excel in job interviews!

EthniCity Catering and Café is a non-profit social enterprise at the Centre for Newcomers that provides Canadian work experience and training for immigrants and refugees. Trainees gain hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen and cafe, improve communication skills and employability skills during the program. Join CFN & Aquabatics Outdoors Calgary for more beginner kayaking experiences this summer!
This program is meant to be a beginner experience with kayaking - youth will have 2 sessions in a pool to get comfortable in the kayak, and 3 sessions outdoors with 2 qualified kayaking instructors.

Join CFN and NSTEP for beginner nutrition, meal prep and health sessions this summer! Youth will work with a certified chef to learn to wash and handle food, cut vegetables, cook simple meals and get to take the food home with them to share! INTRODUCTION TO CANADIAN LOGISTICS
(ICL) MICROCREDENTIAL

The program offers a three-week training designed to advance careers in Canadian logistics and provide a MicroCredential, alongside a one-week workshop series focused on employment and job search strategies. Participants will receive professional network support and job placement assistance. Eligibility requires individuals to be at least 18 years old, residing in Alberta, and either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally entitled to work or train in Canada. NEWCOMER THERAPEUTIC CRISIS
INTERVENTION

CFN's Newcomer Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Program aims to provide therapy support in first-language services for newcomer clients of any age within 24 hours of receiving a referral. As many newcomers won't call a helpline when in distress, this project will provide immediate therapeutic intervention within 24 hours of receiving the referral without waiting for an interpreter.
