KUNG FU WUSHU MARTIAL ART 2025

This program is designed to introduce youth to the foundational techniques, philosophy, and skills of Kung Fu Wushu. Participants will learn the basics of this dynamic martial art, which promotes physical fitness, self-discipline, confidence, and mental focus. Whether you're a beginner or just curious about martial arts, this program offers a welcoming environment to start your journey.

EthniCity Catering and Café is a non-profit social enterprise at the Centre for Newcomers that provides Canadian work experience and training for immigrants and refugees. Trainees gain hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen and cafe, improve communication skills and employability skills during the program. INTRODUCTION TO CANADIAN LOGISTICS
(ICL) MICROCREDENTIAL
ONGOING 

 

The program offers a three-week training designed to advance careers in Canadian logistics and provide a MicroCredential, alongside a one-week workshop series focused on employment and job search strategies. Participants will receive professional network support and job placement assistance. Eligibility requires individuals to be at least 18 years old, residing in Alberta, and either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally entitled to work or train in Canada. NEWCOMER THERAPEUTIC CRISIS
INTERVENTION

CFN's Newcomer Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Program aims to provide therapy support in first-language services for newcomer clients of any age within 24 hours of receiving a referral. As many newcomers won't call a helpline when in distress, this project will provide immediate therapeutic intervention within 24 hours of receiving the referral without waiting for an interpreter.
